Surakarta — The Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FIB UNS) convened an Open Senate Session for the Doctoral Defense in the Cultural Studies Doctoral Program.
Chaired by the faculty leadership and the board of examiners, the defense examined a dissertation investigating the reconstruction of Indonesian local wisdom values amidst globalization and urban modernity. The research successfully delivered novel contributions to cultural studies theory and strategic recommendations for cultural heritage preservation policies.
With this newly conferred doctoral degree, the Cultural Studies Doctoral Program at FIB UNS continues to strengthen its role in educating high-integrity scholars and cultural experts recognized nationally and internationally.
